Tony commented about his photo of Peel Castle shrouded in mist: "I was minded of a description of Peel and the Castle made by Wing Cmdr Roy MacDonald in 1969 when I was just starting out as a cub reporter with the "Examiner". It is little known, and I've never seen it reproduced since, certainly not on the electronic media". It states:
"Peel City is to a Manxman, with its cathedral isle of St Patrick, the most hallowed of all things Manx - for over 200 years the capital city of the Viking kings and for 400 years their principal fortress and sea port."
