Outings and Events, Summer 2009

Here is an up to date list of events and outings for this summer. It is hoped to organise more events so keep checking here as the page will be updated as soon as details and/or changes are available. Any Committee Member should have firm dates nearer the time of outings, so if you canít visit the web site please ring someone to find out.

Thursday 2nd July 2009
A visit to Kentraugh Mill at 6.30pm followed by a meal at Chequers Bar in the Cherry Orchard Hotel. If you would like to go to one or both venues please contact Doreen for more details.

Sunday 19th July 2009

An invitation to members from Rosie Wood to visit her home at 8.30am to see the contents of a moth trap which is being set up by Doug Allan the night before. Rosie will kindly provide tea and toast. The address is Deepwater, Glen Rushen Road, Glen Maye - there is limited parking at the house so probably better for most of us to park on the main road or the glen car park and walk. Note: There is a small chance of this being called off in the event of heavy rainfall overnight - if in doubt ring Rosie (842786) or Doug (844257).

Tuesday 28th July 2009

A visit to Ramsey Bakery starting at 5.50pm outside the bakery, which is in Station Rd, opposite the Shoprite car park. There will be no active machinery, due to Health & Safety, but Mr Duncan will explain everything and we can take photos. Although he isn't charging for this, maybe we should all give a couple of quid in appreciation. There may even be a free bun! No promises though. Followed by an (optional) meal at the Harbour Bistro. Please advise Ruth Nicholls if you wish to attend, and also your choice from this menu so that the meal can be pre-ordered.
